DP World, Lintara Properties break ground on 20,000 sqm Jafza logistics centre

Situated within Jebel Ali Free Zone, the facility is near Dubai’s primary trade corridors, providing direct access to Jebel Ali Port, international airports, and the GCC road network.

UAE – DP World and Lintara Properties have broken ground on a new 20,000-square-metre build-to-suit logistics centre in the Jebel Ali Free Zone, featuring temperature-controlled areas and dedicated dangerous-goods storage, with construction expected to conclude in Q1 2027.

The Grade A facility is being developed by Lintara Properties and will be operated by DP World as part of its integrated, end-to-end supply chain network in the region.

Additionally, the new facility will feature approximately 12-metre clear-height storage and temperature-controlled areas.

Facility Specifications and Specialized Infrastructure

The 20,000-square-metre facility is designed to enhance regional supply chains by providing temperature-controlled storage and dedicated areas for hazardous materials.

The approximately 12-metre clear height maximizes vertical capacity, while temperature-controlled areas support perishable cargo and pharmaceutical logistics.

The dedicated dangerous goods storage addresses safety and regulatory compliance requirements for hazardous materials.

Strategic Location and Supply Chain Integration

The project reflects ongoing demand for high-quality, purpose-built logistics infrastructure in Dubai, as companies strengthen regional supply chains and expand distribution capabilities closer to key trade corridors.

Situated within Jebel Ali Free Zone, the facility is near Dubai’s primary trade corridors, providing direct access to Jebel Ali Port, international airports, and the GCC road network.

Ahmad Yousef Al-Hassan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC, said: “This state-of-the-art facility is the type of logistics infrastructure our customers need to manage more complex supply chains. Once complete, this facility will add Grade A purpose-built warehousing capability in Jafza and support our ability to deliver more integrated supply chain solutions across the GCC.”

Development and Asset Management

Lintara Properties will serve as Development Manager during the construction phase and assume Asset Management responsibilities upon completion of the facility.

Isa Al Khalifa, Managing Director, Head of MENA Real Estate at Arcapita and CEO of Lintara Properties, said: “This milestone reflects our continued focus on delivering high-quality, purpose-built logistics assets that are aligned with the operational needs of our tenants. Jebel Ali Free Zone remains a key logistics hub in the region, and this project supports the growing demand for well-located, institutional-grade facilities that enable efficient distribution and long-term operational reliability.”

This development is a strategic expansion of modern warehousing capabilities, intended to foster long-term reliability across the global trade ecosystem through purpose-built infrastructure that addresses complex supply-chain needs.
