Eurofins expands its banned substance screening to include over 400 compounds prohibited in sports, aligning with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and retailer verification programs worldwide.

LUXEMBOURG – Eurofins Supplement Testing and Eurofins Assurance have introduced Clean Sport Certified, a new certification program designed to ensure the safety, quality, and integrity of sports supplements, ingredients, and foods.
The initiative aims to protect athletes and consumers by verifying that products are free from banned substances and meet strict international standards.
Developed in partnership with TruShield Certified, the program incorporates one of the industry’s most rigorous testing and auditing systems.
TruShield focuses on detecting “compounds of concern,” which is crucial for maintaining anti-doping compliance for professional and recreational athletes alike.
Through this collaboration, Eurofins expands its banned substance screening to include over 400 compounds prohibited in sports, aligning with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and retailer verification programs worldwide.
The Clean Sport Certified program is designed to help manufacturers reduce the risk of adulteration, contamination, and mislabeling, which are ongoing challenges in the sports nutrition sector.
Once certified, companies can display the Clean Sport and TruShield certification marks on product packaging and promotional materials, signaling transparency and consumer trust.
According to Eurofins, clients will benefit from a streamlined process integrating testing, certification, and technical guidance under one coordinated service between Eurofins Supplement Testing and Eurofins Assurance.
This collaboration allows brands to ensure compliance while improving their quality management and product credibility in both retail and professional athletic markets.
This latest launch builds upon Eurofins’ earlier expansion into certification services for dietary supplements and functional foods.
In a previous announcement, Eurofins Food Chemistry Testing in Madison, Wisconsin, and Eurofins Assurance unveiled certification programs covering dietary supplements to NSF/ANSI 173 standards and foods to P101 standards.
These programs were created to help brands mitigate adulteration, contamination, and regulatory non-compliance risks.
By combining the Clean Sport Certified initiative with its established dietary supplement certification offerings, Eurofins reinforces its role as a global leader in product testing and quality assurance.
With its extensive analytical expertise and impartial certification services across Europe, North America, and Asia, the company continues to set benchmarks for safety, performance, and transparency in the global nutrition and sports markets.
