GEA unveils InsightPartner EvoHDry to boost predictive maintenance, efficiency in dairy and beverage plant 

GEA’s new digital tool delivers real-time monitoring and predictive analytics to enhance operational reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.

GEA has introduced its latest digital service innovation, GEA InsightPartner® EvoHDry, a next-generation condition monitoring solution designed to strengthen production reliability and operational efficiency across dairy and beverage plants. 

The system targets highly complex industrial environments where continuous operations are essential for producing premium products, including infant formula, cream, evaporated milk, condensed milk, and cheese.  

By leveraging real-time monitoring and predictive analytics, GEA InsightPartner EvoHDry helps operators identify early warning signs of equipment degradation and address potential failures before they occur. 

GEA InsightPartner EvoHDry continuously collects and analyzes key machine parameters such as vibration, temperature, pressure, and flow. The solution integrates both an app and a web-based platform, giving plant operators immediate access to system health data and performance trends. 

Traditional Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems often overwhelm teams with numerous alarms, while shortages of skilled technicians make it difficult to interpret signals or conduct timely diagnostics.  

GEA’s new system responds to these challenges by using predictive insights and expert maintenance guidance, enabling operators to prioritize the most critical issues and plan maintenance schedules more efficiently. 

Equipped with market-leading sensors, links, and an edge gateway for local data processing, GEA InsightPartner EvoHDry operates independently of customer IT infrastructure, minimizing cybersecurity risks.  

Once processed, data is securely transmitted to the GEA Cloud and GEA Portal, where proprietary modeling algorithms and certified vibration specialists evaluate equipment condition. This blend of automated analytics and human expertise offers a comprehensive and validated picture of machine health. 

Angela Yeung, Digital Portfolio and Strategy Lead for Liquid & Powder Technologies at GEA, highlighted the system’s benefits, noting its ability to reduce unplanned downtime, cut operational costs, and ensure stable production output. 

Tailored for evaporators, spray dryers, pumps, and rotating equipment, the solution covers the full production process, from the vacuum stage through Clean-in-Place (CIP) cycles.  

By embedding decades of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience into its digital platform, GEA aims to help operators transition from reactive to proactive maintenance strategies. 

GEA InsightPartner EvoHDry forms part of the company’s wider Service Performance Partnership, which combines digital tools with service expertise to improve availability, productivity, and sustainability.
