By marrying shortbread’s classic flavour with its renowned truffle recipe, Lindt aims to capture both nostalgia and luxury in a single bite.

UK – Lindt & Sprüngli has introduced a new seasonal indulgence for UK chocolate lovers: Lindor Shortbread Truffles, a blend of the brand’s signature Swiss milk chocolate and the buttery richness of traditional shortbread.
The limited-edition product reflects Lindt’s strategy of combining premium chocolate craftsmanship with flavours that hold cultural resonance.
Each truffle features a luxurious milk chocolate shell studded with shortbread pieces and a signature melting filling infused with shortbread aroma.
The result is a confection designed for cosy autumn and winter moments, particularly when enjoyed with a warm cup of tea.
Shortbread biscuits have long been a hallmark of British tradition, often associated with festive gatherings and afternoon tea.
By marrying this classic flavour with its world-renowned truffle recipe, Lindt aims to capture both nostalgia and luxury in a single bite.
“We recognise the unique love UK consumers have for biscuits, and shortbread in particular has deep roots in British culture,” said Stefan Bruderer, Lindt’s master chocolatier. “This inspired us to create a treat that blends the beloved flavour of shortbread with our cherished truffles.”
The Lindor Shortbread Truffles are available exclusively at Tesco stores for £7.50 (US$10), as well as through Lindt’s own boutiques and online shop, but only until the end of the year.
Their limited availability positions them as a festive gift option as well as a personal indulgence for the cooler months.
This launch comes at a time when the premium chocolate market is experiencing strong growth, driven by consumers who are willing to pay more for products that deliver distinctive, high-quality experiences.
Lindt has been steadily expanding its seasonal and innovative product portfolio to meet this demand, having already rolled out Lindor Pistachio Truffles earlier this year.
The company has also been investing in brand visibility and retail expansion, recently unveiling a flagship store in central London.
The boutique not only showcases Lindt’s iconic creations but also offers interactive experiences, such as custom gifting and a personalised truffle pick-and-mix counter.
This approach reinforces Lindt’s premium positioning in the competitive confectionery sector.
With the Lindor Shortbread Truffles, Lindt continues to highlight its Swiss chocolate expertise while celebrating flavours that resonate with local traditions, ensuring its products remain both globally recognised and locally loved.
