MANE acquires Dutch savoury ingredients producer Fromatech

Fromatech supplies flavour systems, cheese ingredients, and seasonings to food manufacturers in more than 70 countries

EUROPE – French flavour and fragrance company MANE has acquired Fromatech Ingredients B.V., a Netherlands-based manufacturer of savoury flavour systems, seasonings, and cheese-derived ingredients serving the global food sector.

The deal brings Fromatech into MANE’s international operations as the French group seeks to increase its footprint in regions where demand for processed and convenience foods continues to rise, particularly across the Middle East and North Africa.

Founded in 1995 and headquartered in Sittard, Fromatech develops customised flavour profiles and functional ingredients for applications spanning bakery, dairy, snacks, sauces, beverages, confectionery, ready meals, and meat products.

In addition, the Dutch company manufactures products including cheese powders, spray-dried flavours, savoury flavour systems, dairy ingredients, and seasoning blends for food manufacturers seeking tailored formulations.

MANE stated that the acquisition is expected to expand its market access in markets where Fromatech has established commercial operations, while also adding technical expertise in savoury ingredient development and application support.

The company further indicated that Fromatech’s operational structure and product specialisation fit within its long-term expansion plans focused on customised food ingredient solutions for industrial clients.

Operations across international markets

Fromatech currently serves customers in more than 70 countries through a network of sales offices and application laboratories in six markets, enabling the company to provide regional technical support and product adaptation services.

The company has built part of its business around the demand for savoury and dairy-based flavour ingredients used in processed foods, snack products, and convenience meal categories, which continue to expand in emerging economies.

Meanwhile, MANE said the transaction will integrate Fromatech’s activities into its wider flavour portfolio as the group continues investing in product development and regional market expansion.

The acquisition also places Fromatech within MANE’s savoury solutions division, where the Dutch company is expected to continue supplying specialised flavour and ingredient systems to food producers across international markets.
