The expansion begins in Bengaluru and Mysuru, with plans to scale distribution across Karnataka through regional brewing partnerships and premium retail channels.

INDIA – Medusa Beverages, one of India’s fastest-growing beer brands, has announced its entry into Karnataka, marking a significant milestone in its expansion strategy and strengthening its presence in southern India.
The company will introduce its flagship portfolio, including Medusa Premium Beer, Medusa Air, and Medusa X House of the Dragon, as it enters one of the country’s largest and most dynamic beer markets.
The rollout will begin in Bengaluru, where Medusa plans to establish operations through a phased market-entry strategy. The company is targeting distribution across more than 1,000 outlets, focusing on premium hotels, restaurants, cafés (HORECA) and licensed liquor stores.
Following its launch in Bengaluru, the brand plans to expand into Mysuru before extending its footprint across other parts of Karnataka in subsequent phases.
The move forms part of Medusa’s broader national growth strategy as it continues expanding into key beer-consuming markets across India.
The company said its portfolio is positioned alongside leading premium beer brands while maintaining a strong value proposition and aspirational appeal for consumers.
A key component of the Karnataka strategy will be the development of regional brewing partnerships aimed at supporting long-term growth and efficient market penetration.
Commenting on the expansion, Avneet Singh, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Medusa Beverages, said Karnataka represents a critical market for the company’s next stage of growth.
“Over the last few years, Medusa has expanded across multiple markets in India, and Karnataka is an important step in our next phase of growth. The state has a strong beer culture and a large consumer base,” Singh said.
“While Bengaluru is an important starting point for us, our focus is on building presence across Karnataka through major cities. We are entering the market with a long-term vision backed by regional brewing partnerships and strong local execution. We believe Karnataka can become a meaningful contributor to Medusa’s overall business.”
Looking ahead, the company plans to deepen its presence across South India by expanding distribution through HORECA channels and licensed liquor outlets in key markets.
Medusa currently holds an estimated 10% market share in Delhi, highlighting its rapid rise in India’s competitive beer industry.
The Delhi-based brewer previously projected revenue of between Rs 220 crore and ₹250 crore (US$28.3 million) for the financial year ending 2026, representing approximately 100% growth.
Singh has also stated that the company aims to achieve Rs1,200 crore (US$135.9 million) in revenue by FY29 and capture 3–4% of India’s beer market within the next three to five years.
