The new financing boosts NKG’s flexibility as it accelerates global expansion across key green coffee markets.

USA – Neumann Gruppe GmbH, the holding company of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe (NKG), has secured a US$1.1 billion syndicated Revolving Credit Facility, significantly strengthening its financial position and supporting its global expansion plans.
The company announced that the facility was heavily oversubscribed, with 18 financial institutions participating, including six new banking partners. The broad participation reflects strong confidence in NKG’s long-term strategy and market resilience.
The financing was led by ING and UniCredit and is structured into two tranches with maturities of three years and twelve months.
According to NKG, the arrangement enhances the group’s financial flexibility, offering a stable foundation to support its continued development and reinforce its role as a leading global green coffee service provider.
Justin Schulze-Smidt, Group CFO, described the successful closing as a major milestone, noting that the diversified financing structure marks an important step in broadening the company’s international banking relationships.
He added that the new partners’ involvement demonstrates sustained trust in NKG’s operational strength and future direction.
The facility equips the group with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and pursue its global growth ambitions.
NKG currently operates more than 60 business units across 28 countries, delivering services across the green coffee value chain, including farming, imports, exports, logistics, warehousing, and quality control.
The company continued expanding its global footprint in 2024, with notable progress in Asia. In August, NKG opened its first trading office in China, responding to the country’s growing demand for green coffee, which reached 3.2 million 60-kilogram bags in the 2023/24 season, according to USDA GAIN data.
Earlier in the year, it established an importing company in Indonesia to meet the needs of local roasters.
In the United States, NKG’s operations include major trader Rothfos, which imported 1.5 million 60-kilogram bags of coffee in 2023/24, as well as InterAmerican Coffee and Atlas Coffee Importers.
