PepsiCo’s Crown Beverages launches Evervess malt pineapple in Uganda

Crown Beverages introduces Evervess Malt Pineapple, marking PepsiCo’s entry into Uganda’s growing non-alcoholic malt beverage market.

UGANDA – Crown Beverages Limited, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, has unveiled Evervess Malt Pineapple, the first-ever malt flavoured beverage under the global Evervess brand.

The launch marks Evervess’ entry into the malt category, expanding its portfolio beyond premium mixers and sparkling beverages.

The new Evervess Malt Pineapple offers Ugandan consumers a refreshing fusion of smooth malt flavour and tropical pineapple sweetness, combining 100% taste with zero alcohol. A second variant, Evervess Malt Apple, is expected to follow soon.

Positioned as a premium, non-alcoholic carbonated drink, Evervess Malt is designed to blend sophistication with refreshment, appealing to consumers seeking indulgence without alcohol.

The launch campaign, themed “Start Something Malty” and “Make Every Moment Golden”, celebrates everyday experiences and social occasions with a touch of style and positivity.

Speaking during the launch, Sandra Againe, Brand and Communications Manager at Crown Beverages, described the product as a symbol of celebration and togetherness.

“Evervess Malt is about life’s golden moments — simple, shared experiences that bring people closer. It reflects our commitment to diversifying our portfolio and meeting the evolving preferences of Ugandan consumers,” she said.

Rogers Anguzu, Commercial Manager at Crown Beverages Limited, added that the new malt variant allows the company to tap into Uganda’s expanding malt beverage segment.

“With Evervess Malt, we’re giving Ugandans a new reason to celebrate their everyday wins — 100% taste, zero alcohol,” he noted.

Evervess Malt Pineapple is now available in 330ml PET bottles at a recommended retail price of UGX 1,000 across supermarkets, restaurants, bars, and retail outlets nationwide.
