Radico Khaitan Q4 profit surges 71% on premium spirits demand, FY25 revenue crosses US$2B

Radico Khaitan sees robust growth in Q4 FY25, driven by strong volumes and rising demand for premium liquor brands.

INDIA – Radico Khaitan Ltd has reported a 71% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 92.07 crore (US$11 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 2025.

This growth was attributed to strong volume performance and heightened demand for its premium alcohol offerings, including its acclaimed ‘Rampur’ single malt whisky and ‘Jaisalmer’ craft gin.

In the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, Radico Khaitan had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 53.91 crore (US$6.4M), as disclosed in its filing to the stock exchange.

Revenue from operations for the March 2025 quarter rose by 15.16% to Rs 4,485.42 crore (US$528.9M), up from Rs 3,894.63 crore (US$459.2M) in the same period last year.

Total income for the quarter, which includes other income, reached Rs 4,486.80 crore (US$529.1M), marking a 15.13% increase from the year-ago period. Total expenses also rose, up 14.26% year-on-year to Rs 4,365.37 crore (US$514.7M).

The company’s Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL) volumes in Q4 reached 9.15 million cases, representing a 27.9% increase. Volumes in its Prestige & Above segment stood at 3.40 million cases, a 16.8% rise, and accounted for 39.1% of total IMFL volumes.

Managing Director Abhishek Khaitan highlighted the performance by stating, “Building on the strong momentum from Q3 FY25, we achieved an impressive 28% volume growth in Q4FY25—our highest quarterly growth in the past three years.”

The premiumization strategy has played a significant role in the company’s success. Sales from premium brands contributed 63% of overall revenue in the March quarter, with a 22% growth in sales within this category.

States like Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh supported growth through favorable liquor policies, including tax reductions and retail reforms.

For the full financial year ended March 31, 2025, Radico Khaitan’s net profit rose 31.8% to Rs 345.61 crore, up from Rs 262.17 crore the previous year.

The company’s total consolidated income for FY25 was Rs 17,103.38 crore, an increase of 10.4%, allowing it to surpass the US$2 billion revenue mark.

Chairman and Managing Director Lalit Khaitan stated, “Radico Khaitan has achieved another outstanding quarter, closing FY25 with its strongest financial results to date.” The company also posted its highest-ever full-year EBITDA at Rs 668 crore.

Looking ahead, Radico plans to launch two luxury brands in Q1 FY26 and expand into the super-premium whisky segment.

The company expects continued strong double-digit growth in its Prestige & Above portfolio and sustained demand in the premium spirits segment.
