The new Riyadh facility brings research, product development, testing and consumer validation together as Tanmiah expands its value-added protein portfolio.

SAUDI ARABIA – Saudi Arabia’s Tanmiah Food Company has inaugurated the Tanmiah Innovation Center at its headquarters in Riyadh, creating a dedicated research and development facility for healthy, sustainable protein products.
The centre is designed to manage the full product innovation lifecycle under one roof, covering consumer insights, concept development, project evaluation, prototype creation, pilot trials, consumer validation and market launch.
Tanmiah said the integrated model is intended to support faster product development and reduce reliance on external suppliers.
The facility will develop new products across Tanmiah’s brands, which are distributed in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council markets.
The Tanmiah Innovation Center comprises four connected areas covering creation and research, kitchen, application and sensory analysis. The company said the structure will support faster responses to consumer trends, improved decision-making and product quality while maintaining operational continuity.
The centre will also work with hotels, restaurants, cafés and catering businesses on customised solutions, including product development and menu creation.
Its capabilities extend beyond poultry, allowing Tanmiah to develop, test and validate products across additional protein categories. The company said the facility will help expand its value-added portfolio and support its ambition to become a global provider of halal, sustainable and healthy protein.
Zulfiqar Hamadani, Group Chief Executive Officer of Tanmiah, said the centre would strengthen the company’s ability to respond to changing customer and consumer requirements.
“With this Innovation Center, we are strengthening our ability to respond faster and more effectively to the evolving needs of our customers and consumers, creating products that are more convenient, healthier, and deliver greater value,” Hamadani said.
He added that the facility would contribute to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 ambitions by supporting a more diversified, self-sufficient, and sustainable food sector.
Innovation pipeline expands
The inauguration follows recent product development achievements by Tanmiah subsidiary Agricultural Development Company (ADC).
In 2026, ADC won two categories at the Product of the Year Gulf Edition for the fifth consecutive year. The winning products were its Frozen Breaded Chicken Range and Taste Secrets Fresh Marinated Shaqra Pepper Chicken Breast Fillet.
Tanmiah Managing Director Zein M. Attar said the company’s local presence provides insight into changing consumer needs.
“This culinary Innovation Center will turn that insight into nutritious, healthier, and more sustainable food solutions, developed locally, for the people and communities we serve,” Attar said.
Marcos Delorenzo, CEO of ADC, said the centre would enable Tanmiah to explore new flavours, formats and protein categories while developing customised products for customers.
