Tanmiah launches new frozen breaded chicken range using local Saudi chicken

New product line includes nuggets, strips, fillets, and burgers with innovative flavors.

SAUDI ARABIA – Tanmiah Food Company has introduced a new Frozen Breaded Chicken product line made entirely from fresh Saudi chicken.

The launch took place at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture building in Riyadh, where visitors were able to see and sample the new products.

Zulfiqar Hamadani, Group CEO of Tanmiah, said the range contributes to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by supporting local production, improving self-sufficiency, and increasing local content.

The product line includes nuggets, strips, fillets, and burgers in multiple flavors, with a PLUS variant that has a vegetable-infused coating providing the equivalent of two-thirds of a cup of vegetables per pack.

A Korean-inspired chicken product has also been added, reflecting current culinary trends in bold, spicy flavors.

Marcos Delorenzo, CEO of ADC, Tanmiah’s poultry division, explained that the range was developed following extensive market research and consumer feedback to meet modern lifestyle demands for convenient, high-quality protein options.

He added that the range ensures full transparency, allowing consumers to know the origin of the chicken in the products their families consume.

The rollout will be conducted in phases, initially through e-commerce platforms, retail stores, and food delivery aggregators.

Tanmiah emphasized that the initiative replaces the reliance on imported frozen chicken with locally sourced poultry, aligning with national efforts to strengthen food security.

Dr. Ali Mohammed Al-Shaikhi, Assistant Deputy Minister for Livestock and Fisheries, attended the launch along with other Ministry officials, highlighting the event as part of ongoing collaborations with local food producers.

The new line reflects Tanmiah’s strategy to diversify its product portfolio, leveraging its vertically integrated supply chain and continued development of value-added offerings in the poultry segment.

Tanmiah has over six decades of experience in poultry production, with operations spanning fresh and processed meat, animal feed, and health products, positioning the company to expand into convenience-oriented products.

The company did not disclose pricing in local currency, but similar frozen chicken products in the Saudi retail market are generally priced between US$5 and US$15 per pack.

Consumer interest is expected to focus on convenience, taste, and nutritional innovation, particularly the vegetable-infused PLUS line, as households increasingly seek quick meal solutions.

The launch reinforces Tanmiah’s ongoing efforts to provide locally produced poultry options while responding to evolving dietary preferences in Saudi Arabia.
