Tropicana expands accessibility in the UK with 500ml cartons, targeting smaller households and budget-conscious consumers while emphasizing recyclability.
UK – Tropicana, a globally recognized juice brand, has broadened its product offerings in the UK by introducing smaller, 500ml cartons of its best-selling original orange juice.
Available in both with-pulp and without-pulp varieties, this move aims to cater to a wider range of consumers and household sizes.
According to Nikolaos Kokidis, Packaging Procurement Lead Europe at Tropicana, the introduction of the 500ml carton makes Tropicana orange juice more accessible to UK households, particularly smaller ones like empty nesters and retirees. These consumers may find larger pack formats less suitable for their needs.
Additionally, the smaller format allows price-sensitive shoppers to continue enjoying the brand amidst rising prices.
The choice of the Pure-Pak carton ensures consistency across Tropicana’s product range, aligning with standard carton packs and bulk formats.
According to the company, these cartons are fully recyclable in the UK, and upcoming Simpler Recycling legislation will mandate liquid carton collections at household kerbsides from March 2026, enhancing consumer confidence in recycling efforts.
Tropicana is part of a joint venture established in 2022 between PAI Partners and PepsiCo. The company’s mission is to drive growth, provide opportunities for its workforce, and deliver delightful and nourishing beverages to consumers worldwide.
Tropicana’s portfolio includes iconic juice brands such as Naked, KeVita, Izze, Dole, Copella, and Punica. By expanding its format options, Tropicana is reinforcing its commitment to meeting diverse consumer preferences and market demands.
