GLOBAL – Patrick Moebel has joined as the new Chief Executive Officer at CEVA Logistics, effective 1 July 2026, succeeding Mathieu Friedberg.
Moebel expressed gratitude to Group Chairman and CEO Rodolphe Saadé for the confidence shown in his appointment. He acknowledged Friedberg for laying a strong foundation for the company’s continued success.
The new executive said the focus would be on building on that momentum and on continuing to deliver value for customers, employees, and stakeholders.
Leadership Transition and Strategic Continuity
Friedberg reflected on the journey since taking over as CEO in 2019, noting that the company had successfully executed its strategy to accelerate growth and strengthen its position in the global logistics market.
During this period, CEVA Logistics tripled in size and emerged as one of the industry’s leading players. He currently holds the position of Executive Vice President & EVP Transformation at CMA CGM.

New CEO Background and North American Expansion
Patrick Moebel served as President & CEO at FedEx Logistics before joining CEVA. He has also held positions at Geodis Freight Forwarding, ABX Logistics, Exel, and Schenker throughout his career.
On the other hand, CEVA Logistics is set to expand its North American footprint to more than 240 locations and approximately 20,000 employees following CMA CGM Group’s acquisition of FedEx Supply Chain. This change is part of a significant North American growth strategy following the parent organization’s acquisition.
Moebel’s experience at FedEx Logistics and other global freight forwarders positions him to drive growth across perishable cargo segments. CEVA’s tripling in size under Friedberg demonstrates its capacity to handle complex supply chain demands.
As CEVA continues its global expansion, fresh produce exporters gain access to an expanded logistics network with enhanced cold chain capabilities across North American and international markets.
Lastly, the combination of leadership continuity and strategic growth positions CEVA Logistics as a key player in the global logistics industry, serving customers across multiple sectors and geographies.
