The drive-thru coffee chain opened 10 new locations in the second quarter and raised its full-year 2026 outlook as it expands across seven US states.

USA – Black Rock Coffee Bar reported a 25% year-on-year increase in second-quarter revenue as the US drive-thru coffee chain continued expanding its store network and strengthening same-store sales.
For the three months ended June 30, 2026, revenue reached US$63 million, up from US$50.4 million in the same period last year. Same-store sales increased 4.2%, while the company opened 10 new locations, taking its systemwide store count to 200.
Income from operations rose to US$4.1 million from US$3.3 million a year earlier. Net income increased to US$3.2 million, compared with a net loss of US$1.1 million in the prior-year period. Adjusted EBITDA climbed 17.2% to US$9.4 million.
Black Rock Coffee Bar CEO Mark Davis attributed the performance to the company’s brand, customer engagement strategy and operating model.
“We delivered another strong quarter, where revenue increased 25 per cent and adjusted EBITDA grew 17 per cent year-over-year,” Davis said.
“During the quarter, we opened 10 new locations, reaching 200 stores systemwide, while continuing to execute against our disciplined expansion strategy. Deepening guest engagement, fostering a people-oriented culture and growing our market presence remain key priorities,” he added.
The company said its customer engagement initiatives include new menu offerings, loyalty segmentation, daypart promotions and extended operating hours.
Black Rock also updated its full-year 2026 guidance following the second-quarter performance. The company expects to open 38 new stores during the year and forecast total revenue of between US$255 million and US$257 million.
The company is also forecasting mid-single-digit same-store sales growth and adjusted EBITDA of US$34 million to US$35 million for the full year.
As of June 30, Black Rock Coffee Bar held US$16 million in cash and cash equivalents and reported total debt of US$30.6 million.
Founded in 2008 in Beaverton, Oregon, Black Rock Coffee Bar began as a 160-square-foot coffee bar. The company now operates more than 200 locations across seven US states, spanning the Pacific Northwest to Texas.
The company describes itself as a high-growth operator of guest-centric drive-thru coffee bars offering premium caffeinated beverages and an elevated in-store experience delivered by its baristas.
