Coca-Cola unveils new global visual identity

Coca-Cola has launched a refreshed global visual identity and new design governance tools while advancing plans for the 2027 IPO of its Indian bottling business.

GLOBAL – The Coca-Cola Company has unveiled a new global visual identity system aimed at strengthening brand consistency across packaging, retail environments, equipment and digital platforms while introducing new governance tools to support its worldwide marketing network.

The refreshed identity is designed to create a unified and instantly recognisable brand presence across every consumer touchpoint. According to the company, the updated system provides a scalable visual framework that reinforces Coca-Cola’s established brand assets while supporting future growth.

The redesign builds on several of the company’s most recognisable visual elements, including its signature red-and-white colour palette, the Dynamic Ribbon, the Arden Square and the iconic Spencerian script. Coca-Cola said the new identity is intended to improve consistency across global markets while maintaining the heritage associated with the brand.

As part of the refresh, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar will also receive an updated design that aligns more closely with the core Coca-Cola identity while retaining its own distinctive characteristics.

The revised packaging features larger “Zero Sugar” lettering, a prominent black Dynamic Ribbon on cans and a black bottle cap on PET packaging to enhance product recognition.

Commenting on the initiative, Arnab Roy, President of Coca-Cola Global Category at The Coca-Cola Company, said: “Coca-Cola is one of the most recognized brands in the world, and with that comes a responsibility to keep evolving. This refresh is about being clearer and more consistent in how we show up, wherever people experience our brand. By building on the things people already know and love, we’re creating a stronger foundation for growth while staying unmistakably Coca-Cola.”

Alongside the visual redesign, the company has introduced a new immersive Brand Center and a suite of technology-enabled Design Intelligence tools. Coca-Cola said the platform has been developed to support internal design and marketing teams, as well as agency partners, by improving creative execution, governance and brand consistency across international markets.

Rapha Abreu, Global Vice President of Design at The Coca-Cola Company, said: “For over a century, Coca-Cola has been a global symbol of optimism and authenticity. Now, with one seamless visual identity, we can deliver one recognizable brand experience to consumers.”

Separately, Coca-Cola is continuing preparations for the planned 2027 initial public offering of Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings, its majority-owned bottling partner in India. The company has appointed JPMorgan and Citi to advise on the proposed listing.

Coca-Cola announced in June that it was exploring the sale of part of its 60% stake in Hindustan Coca-Cola Holdings, which operates 14 bottling plants across 10 Indian states.

According to the latest available company data, the bottler generated revenue of 127.35 billion Indian rupees (US$1.32 billion) and a net profit of US$36 million in 2023. Details regarding the IPO valuation and the size of the stake to be offered have not yet been disclosed.
