DHL’s expansion combines fully dedicated, high-security warehousing with specialized logistics services that support complex, multi-phase deployment programmes.

ASIA PACIFIC – DHL Supply Chain has announced the expansion of its data centre logistics capabilities across Asia Pacific, with more than 160,000 square metres of dedicated warehouse capacity either in operation or under development across key markets, including Malaysia and Thailand.
The expansion includes more than 30,000 square metres currently in operation, with a further 130,000 square metres of committed expansion and built-to-suit development scheduled to come online over the next two years.
Responding to Asia Pacific’s Data Centre Boom
Asia-Pacific’s rapid data centre growth is projected to overtake that of the United States, making it the world’s largest data centre market by 2030.
Javier Bilbao, CEO of Asia Pacific at DHL Supply Chain, said: “Market projections show Asia Pacific as the world’s next data centre hub, with approximately US$800 billion in data centre investment expected across the region by 2030. As the region enters this sustained phase of large-scale data centre execution, customers need more than capacity; they need execution certainty. Our investments in dedicated infrastructure and advanced white glove capabilities are designed to deliver that certainty by combining precision, consistency, and speed in some of the region’s most demanding deployment environments.”
White-Glove Handling and Specialized Technical Services
DHL’s expansion combines fully dedicated, high-security warehousing with specialized logistics services that support complex, multi-phase deployment programmes.
A central pillar is DHL’s investment in its upskilling workforce in advanced white-glove handling and specialized technical services, enabling teams to shift critical preparation and integration work from live construction zones to controlled logistics environments.
White-glove handling ensures servers, equipment, and critical systems are moved under controlled conditions to minimize the risk of damage and delays.
Strategic Growth Priority
Amanda Rasmussen, Chief Commercial Officer of DHL Global Forwarding and Head of the Data Centre Logistics Taskforce at DHL Group, said: “Data centre logistics is a strategic growth priority for DHL, driven by the rapid development of digital infrastructure and AI. Building on recent investments in North America and now expanding further in Asia Pacific, we are mobilizing capabilities across the Group to deliver integrated, end-to-end solutions for every stage of the data centre lifecycle.“
This expansion reflects DHL’s global priority to deliver precision, consistency, and speed across some of the region’s most demanding deployment environments, supporting hyperscalers and data centre operators with specialized technical services and white-glove handling.
