Hubbard appoints Yannick Levantard as Area Manager for East and Southern Africa

The appointment follows the departure of Jean Lebec, who left to pursue personal and professional opportunities.

AFRICA – Hubbard has named Yannick Levantard as its new Area Manager for the East and Southern Africa Region, succeeding Jean Lebec.

Levantard will report directly to Bruno Briand, the company’s Global Sales Director, and will be responsible for overseeing regional operations and distributor relations.

He completed a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture with a focus on Agricultural Extension at the University of Mauritius in 2003, and earned a Master’s in Agricultural Development Economics from the University of Reading, UK, in 2005.

Levantard spent 19 years at Avipro Co. Ltd in Mauritius, where he advanced through roles including Broiler Operations Officer, Broiler Operations Manager, and Breeding Operations Manager.

During his tenure at Avipro, he gained significant management experience and contributed to several operational and strategic projects.

In 2019, he joined Avitech SA in Madagascar as Operations Manager, and in 2023, he was promoted to General Manager, leading business strategy and maintaining key stakeholder relationships.

Levantard brings extensive experience in operations management and business development, along with knowledge of the regional poultry market, which he will apply in his new role at Hubbard.

His responsibilities will include supporting the Hubbard Efficiency Plus distributor in East Africa and working closely with the local Customer Support team to maintain service and operational standards.

Additionally, he will oversee initiatives to sustain existing partnerships and expand Hubbard’s footprint across the region’s poultry market.

Levantard said the role is focused on more than just product sales, highlighting the importance of building trust, sharing technical knowledge, and fostering collaboration with clients.

He added that his goal is to combine technical expertise with customer engagement to drive the growth of Hubbard’s operations in East and Southern Africa, a market he described as highly promising.

Bruno Briand welcomed Levantard to the company, emphasizing that his background in both Conventional and Premium market segments will contribute to the company’s regional positioning and operational effectiveness.

Briand concluded by wishing Levantard success in his new role and acknowledging his experience as a strategic asset for Hubbard’s expansion in the region.
