Kenafric Beverages, African Originals triumph at Kenya Beverage Excellence Awards 2025

Kenafric Beverages and Bottling Limited earned multiple honours for innovation, quality, and marketing at the Kenya Beverage Excellence Awards 2025.

KENYA – Kenafric Beverages and Bottling Limited has strengthened its position as a leading force in Kenya’s beverage industry after winning four awards at the Kenya Beverage Excellence Awards 2025. 

The annual awards recognise outstanding achievements in innovation, quality, and manufacturing across the country’s beverage sector, honouring brands that set industry benchmarks. 

Kenafric Beverages was celebrated for its manufacturing excellence, product innovation, and strong consumer engagement, particularly through its STEAM Energy Drink range.  

The company was named Manufacturer of the Year Runner-Up, acknowledging its reliability, consistency, and dedication to high-quality production. 

The flagship STEAM Energy Drink received top recognition as the Most Preferred Energy Drink Winner, applauded for its superior quality and strong market trust among Kenyan consumers.  

Meanwhile, the newly launched STEAM Recharge won the Most Preferred New Beverage Concept award, celebrated for its refreshing, customer-focused formulation and innovative positioning. 

Additionally, the brand’s Power Up Game On Campaign was named First Runner-Up for Best Marketing Campaign of the Year, praised for its creativity, consumer engagement, and resonance with Kenya’s youth audience. 

Chehar Shah, Managing Director of Kenafric Beverages and Bottling Limited, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that the honours reflect consumers’ trust and the company’s dedication to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction. 

Consecutively, African Originals, the owners of K.O brand, was also on the spotlight scooping 5 awards. The company’s flagship brand, KO, won two awards with KO dry cider being awarded as the most preferred cider and KO tropical iced tea winning the most preferred iced tea award.

The company’s recently introduced 5.8 gin won two awards taking the most preferred alcoholic newcomer beverage and the most preferred local gin. Meanwhile, Mara gin won the award for the most preferred unique beverage concept of the year.
