Lipman Family Farms acquires Farm Fresh to expand western US fresh-cut operations

This acquisition reflects Lipman’s broader commitment to vertical integration and meeting rising consumer demand for convenient food solutions.

USA – Lipman Family Farms, one of North America’s leading fresh produce suppliers, has acquired Farm Fresh, a fresh-cut fruit and vegetable operation in Phoenix, Arizona, strengthening its national distribution network and vertical integration in the western United States.

Farm Fresh is located a few miles from Lipman’s repack operation in Glendale. The two facilities will complement Lipman’s service in a market where coverage and capabilities are growing. This is the second western Lipman acquisition in recent months, following Inland Premium Packers in Riverside, California.

The Farm Fresh facility prepares a variety of ready-to-eat produce, offering customized solutions for customers seeking convenient, food-safe, freshly cut produce. As Lipman expands its footprint in the fresh-cut category, the company also broadens its team’s expertise as fresh produce continues to evolve.

Investing in fresh-cuts in the Arizona region emphasizes our goal of supplying fresh produce solutions that are accessible to all,” said Elyse Lipman, CEO of Lipman Family Farms. “As we expand, this also means ensuring we have the right people in the right places that we can count on. Through Farm Fresh, we acquired experienced professionals who know fresh-cut and produce distribution.”

Lipman’s footprint continues to grow nationally, with a focus on supply assurance and solutions for partners. The company has made several investments in recent years to meet growing demand for convenient, ready-to-use fruits and vegetables.

In addition, Lipman is dedicated to national distribution in its fresh vegetable category, with fresh-cut operations spanning Mexico, Phoenix, Northern California, Colorado, Portland, Texas, Florida, North Carolina, and New Jersey.

As a result, the new Phoenix location makes the company an even more consistent, reliable, and strategic supplier for retail and foodservice customers.

Moreover, this acquisition strengthens Lipman’s vertical integration model by adding fresh-cut capabilities in the western region. Integrating experienced professionals from Farm Fresh enhances the company’s expertise in the evolving produce market.

The fresh-cut category plays an increasingly important role in modern produce as consumers demand convenient, ready-to-eat options. This acquisition reflects Lipman’s broader commitment to vertical integration and meeting rising consumer demand for convenient food solutions.

Together, these developments solidify the company’s status as a leading provider of fresh produce across North America. The combination of expanded geographic coverage, enhanced capabilities, and experienced personnel positions Lipman for continued growth in the competitive fresh-cut market.
