The warehouse minimizes reliance on multiple vendors, reduces lead times, and improves service efficiency.

INDIA – DP World has inaugurated a dedicated warehouse facility for Mondelez India in Cochin, marking a major milestone in the global logistics leader’s efforts to strengthen India’s fast-evolving food and FMCG supply chains.
The facility enhances Mondelez India’s storage, distribution, and supply chain resilience across Kerala, ensuring smoother delivery of the company’s iconic products such as Cadbury Dairy Milk, Oreo, and Bournvita.
Located in Ernakulam, the new warehouse features over 4,000 pallet positions, comprising 2,200 dedicated to dry goods and the remainder allocated for ambient storage at carefully controlled temperatures between 18°C and 25°C.
Designed and operated by DP World, the facility integrates advanced infrastructure, skilled manpower, and technology-driven warehousing services to ensure optimal product quality and consistency.
By consolidating key logistics functions under one roof, the warehouse minimizes reliance on multiple vendors, reduces lead times, and improves service efficiency for one of India’s largest confectionery manufacturers.
Speaking at the launch, Suresh Ramani, Chief Commercial Officer – Logistics, DP World India Subcontinent, emphasized that the Cochin facility demonstrates DP World’s commitment to building scalable, safe, and compliant infrastructure tailored to customer needs.
He noted that such investments not only simplify complex supply chains but also create new growth pathways for FMCG brands expanding across India.
The facility’s opening marks another step in DP World’s ongoing expansion across the country, extending its warehousing footprint to over 5 million square feet across more than 60 locations.
By integrating warehousing operations with port terminals, rail freight, express logistics, and freight forwarding, DP World is driving India’s logistics transformation and supporting the government’s “Make in India” and “Gati Shakti” initiatives for sustainable trade growth.
The partnership also comes at a time when Mondelez India is expanding its product portfolio to meet the evolving preferences of Indian consumers.
Recently, its flagship brand Cadbury Dairy Milk launched Milkinis, a crème-filled chocolate bar designed for younger, on-the-go consumers seeking bite-sized indulgence.
Available in single and twin-bar packs, Milkinis reflects Mondelez’s focus on innovation, convenience, and shareability.
Together, the new Cochin warehouse and Cadbury’s expanding portfolio underline Mondelez India’s long-term commitment to strengthening its market presence and delivering fresh, high-quality products across the country.
