The new addition joins Sir Fruit’s winter wellness range as demand grows for convenient beverages designed to support immunity and everyday health.

SOUTH AFRICA – Sir Fruit has expanded its functional beverage portfolio with the launch of its new De-Flame Shot, introduced as part of the brand’s broader winter range aimed at supporting everyday wellness.
The new wellness shot combines cold-pressed mango, cucumber and mint with Devil’s claw and moringa leaf extract, ingredients commonly associated with anti-inflammatory properties and pain relief. The formulation also contains zinc and vitamins C and D, nutrients often linked to immune support and overall wellbeing.
The launch reflects growing consumer demand for beverages that offer benefits beyond refreshment, as more consumers seek convenient products that fit into increasingly busy lifestyles.
Functional shots have become one of the fastest-growing segments within the health and beverage industry, with consumers looking for products tailored to specific needs such as immune support, post-exercise recovery and general wellness.
De-Flame forms part of Sir Fruit’s wider ‘READY SHOT GO!’ winter range. The new product joins the brand’s Defence Shot, Fiery Ginger Shot, Immunity Shot and Spicy Turmeric Shot, creating what the company describes as a functional “starting five” for the season.
The expanded portfolio highlights a broader trend of beverages being positioned around particular use occasions and consumer health priorities.
The launch also reflects how wellness-focused products are increasingly becoming part of mainstream retail and everyday consumption habits rather than remaining confined to niche health categories.
As consumers continue to prioritise preventative health and convenience, functional beverages are expected to remain an important area of growth within the wider food and beverage market, with brands increasingly developing products that cater to evolving lifestyle and wellness preferences.
