UAC Foods expands into culinary category with ‘Zuri’ seasoning

Zuri will be available in four variants: Classic, Chicken, Beef, and Jollof—offering a versatile range of flavors to suit different culinary needs.

NIGERIA – UAC Foods Limited has unveiled its latest innovation, a seasoning brand called Zuri, signaling the company’s entry into the culinary category as it broadens its product portfolio beyond its well-established offerings in the food and beverage sector.

The new brand marks a strategic expansion for UAC Foods, best known for producing some of the country’s most popular snacks, beverages, and dairy products, with household names such as Gala Sausage Roll, Supreme Ice Cream, and Swan Natural Spring Water.

With the introduction of Zuri, UAC Foods is venturing into the seasoning space, a move that reinforces its goal of enriching everyday consumer experiences and building stronger connections with Nigerian households.

Ayo Awosika, General Manager, Commercial at UAC Foods, described Zuri as more than just a cooking aid, noting that it was carefully developed to bring both convenience and enjoyment into the kitchen.

“Zuri seasoning is a magnificent work of art, designed to ease the stress of cooking and bring fun to the art of cooking. Every part of this product was designed with love, starting from the package to the seasoning itself,” he said.

Zuri will be available in four variants: Classic, Chicken, Beef, and Jollof—offering a versatile range of flavors to suit different culinary needs.

According to Awosika, the brand aims to “unlock the aroma and bring to life a delicious and mouth-watering dish,” while becoming a go-to choice for Nigerian families.

Awosika emphasized that Zuri seasoning is already available in stores nationwide, urging consumers to give it a try.

“Making everyday cooking fun” is the promise behind the brand, and its entry into the market is expected to heighten competition in Nigeria’s vibrant seasoning segment, which is dominated by both multinational and local players.

With Zuri, UAC Foods is extending its legacy of trusted brands into a new culinary territory.

For Nigerian households, the seasoning’s launch is more than just another product; it represents an invitation to reimagine everyday cooking with flavor, creativity, and joy.

The launch of Zuri reflects UAC Foods’ commitment to innovation, a theme that has become central to its growth strategy.

Just recently, the company introduced the UAC Foods STEM Innovation Program, an initiative designed to inspire and empower secondary school students across Nigeria to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

By nurturing young talent and fostering creativity, UAC Foods is positioning itself as both a leader in consumer products and a contributor to Nigeria’s broader socio-economic development.
