Döhler has expanded its U.S. operations in Georgia, strengthening extraction, flavor development and production capacity to meet rising demand for clean-label ingredients.

USA – Döhler, a global leader in technology-driven natural ingredients and integrated solutions, has announced a major expansion of its flavor production and innovation capabilities at its Cartersville facility in Georgia.
The investment reinforces the company’s strategy to deliver clean-label, high-quality solutions aligned with shifting consumer demand across the food, beverage, and life science and nutrition sectors.
At the centre of the expansion is an upgrade to hydroethanolic (hydroalcoholic) extraction capabilities for botanicals. The enhancement significantly increases production capacity for natural botanical extracts, supporting rising demand for functional ingredient systems while maintaining clean-label standards.
The company also expanded its reaction chemistry platform, focusing on sweet reaction flavors, pyrazines, and natural chemistry. This development is designed to broaden Döhler’s portfolio of taste solutions and deliver more complex and authentic flavor profiles tailored to modern consumer preferences.
The Cartersville site has additionally increased its liquid flavor production capacity and batch sizes, enabling faster response times and improved flexibility for customer requirements.
The upgrade is expected to accelerate the development and commercialization of new flavor systems and customized botanical extracts.
Beyond Cartersville, Döhler is strengthening its wider North American operations. This includes finished beverage processing capabilities in New Jersey, alongside a new emulsion laboratory and a CHAIR predictive stability room designed to improve product development, stability testing, and speed to market.
Together, these investments enhance Döhler’s integrated approach, covering extraction, flavor creation, and finished beverage applications under one system designed to ensure quality and consistency.
“This expansion represents a key milestone in our ongoing investment in innovation and capacity,” said Paul Graham, Döhler President of the Americas. “By enhancing our extraction and reaction capabilities, we are empowering our customers to create differentiated products that meet the growing demand for natural, functional and great-tasting solutions.”
The company said the expansion strengthens its ability to support brands seeking innovation and scalability in a competitive global marketplace, while responding to increasing consumer demand for natural and functional ingredients.
