IGC, Ovodan Egg Group partner to build egg processing facility in Pakistan

PAKISTAN – Pakistan’s Iqbal Group of Companies (IGC) has entered into a strategic partnership with Denmark’s Ovodan Egg Group to establish a modern egg processing facility, a project that both companies say will support the development of the country’s food processing sector.

The agreement brings together IGC’s integrated poultry operations and domestic market experience with Ovodan Egg Group’s expertise in egg processing technology and product development to introduce advanced processing capabilities in Pakistan.

Under the partnership, the companies plan to build a facility equipped with international-standard processing systems to manufacture value-added egg products for both domestic consumption and export markets.

The companies said the project will focus on applying internationally recognised quality standards throughout the production process while strengthening the quality, consistency, and market value of egg-based products produced in Pakistan.

In addition, the partners intend to promote knowledge transfer by sharing technical expertise and industry practices that can contribute to the development of Pakistan’s broader food manufacturing sector.

The collaboration is also expected to support export-oriented production by increasing the availability of processed egg products that meet international market requirements and expanding opportunities for local manufacturers.

Both companies said the partnership reflects a shared objective of encouraging innovation and sustainable development across Pakistan’s food industry while investing in modern processing infrastructure.

The project is also intended to strengthen commercial and industrial ties between Pakistan and Denmark through cooperation in food processing technology and agricultural manufacturing.

IGC and Ovodan Egg Group said they will combine international technical expertise with local production capabilities to enhance the long-term competitiveness of Pakistan’s food processing industry while creating additional opportunities for value addition throughout the poultry supply chain.
