Kuehne+Nagel appoints Leon Diradourian to lead Middle East cluster

Logistics giant Kuehne+Nagel has named Leon Diradourian as Managing Director of its GCC+ Cluster, effective June 1st, 2025.

MIDDLE EAST – Logistics firm Kuehne+Nagel has announced a key leadership change in the Middle East, appointing Leon Diradourian as the new Managing Director for its GCC+ Cluster.

The appointment, which takes effect on June 1st, 2025, comes at a time when the company is strengthening its presence in a region undergoing rapid economic changes.

The GCC+ Cluster includes Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Diradourian will be based in Dubai, where the company’s regional headquarters is located.

Diradourian began his career with Kuehne+Nagel in 2010 in Canada as a Sales Executive. Over the past 15 years, he moved through several senior roles, including Regional Sales Director and Vice President of Sea Logistics.

Most recently, he led Strategic Customs Development and oversaw the integration of Farrow, a customs brokerage firm that Kuehne+Nagel acquired in Canada.

In a statement following his appointment, Diradourian said, “Situated at the crossroads of global trade, the Middle East offers exceptional opportunities for the logistics sector. As many countries diversify their economies and explore new avenues for growth, I am honoured to lead the organisation in the region.”

He added, “Together with our team, I am committed to enhancing our service offerings, supporting our customers’ success, and advancing towards our Vision 2030: to become the most trusted supply chain partner supporting a sustainable future.”

Looking ahead in the GCC+

Diradourian’s leadership arrives during a time when the Middle East is investing heavily in infrastructure and trade. His deep knowledge of logistics, combined with a history of guiding teams through change, is expected to help Kuehne+Nagel grow across the region’s varied markets.

The company says this move reflects its long-term strategy to support clients in fast-changing environments. “Diradourian’s proven track record and understanding of regional markets make him a strong fit for this role,” the company said in a release.

In a related update, Kuehne+Nagel has also been investing in its digital services to improve tracking and visibility for clients in the Middle East.

The company recently expanded its sea and air freight capacity at key ports across the UAE and Saudi Arabia, aiming to support growing customer demand in the construction and energy sectors.

These changes reinforce Kuehne+Nagel’s focus on providing dependable logistics services while adapting to the region’s shifting trade patterns.

With Diradourian at the helm, the company says it remains committed to being a key partner for businesses across the GCC+ region.
