Longtime Molson Coors executive Rahul Goyal to succeed Gavin Hattersley as president and CEO from October 1, 2025.

USA – Molson Coors Beverage Company has appointed company veteran Rahul Goyal as its next president and chief executive officer, effective October 1, 2025.
Goyal, who has spent more than two decades at the brewing giant, will take over from Gavin Hattersley, who announced in April that he would step down by the end of the year.
During his 24-year tenure at Molson Coors, Goyal has held key leadership roles across information technology, finance and strategy. His career includes two years as chief information officer in the UK and four years as chief financial officer in India.
Since 2019, he has served as Molson Coors’ chief strategy officer, spearheading initiatives to expand the company’s portfolio and strengthen its position in the beverage market.
According to Molson Coors, Goyal has played a pivotal role in advancing the company’s “beyond beer” strategy, forging partnerships with The Coca-Cola Company and Fever-Tree, and overseeing the acquisitions of ZOA and Naked Life.
He also managed commercial operations at Coors Distributing Company and contributed to the oversight of The Yuengling Company, the brewer’s joint venture with D.G. Yuengling and Son.
Board Chair David Coors said, “Rahul has strong institutional knowledge given his time with the company and more importantly, he is eager to bring new thinking with a focus on future growth. The entire Board is confident that Rahul’s leadership will drive long-term results for Molson Coors.” Outgoing CEO Hattersley added, “Having worked closely with Rahul, I believe he is the right choice to lead the company into the future.”
Molson Coors reported net sales of US$11.63 billion in 2024, down 0.6% year-on-year, but net income rose 18.3% to US$1.12 billion.
However, the brewer has issued two downward revisions to its 2025 sales and earnings forecasts due to weaker-than-expected volumes in the EMEA and APAC regions and muted demand in the US.
The company now expects net sales to fall 3–4% on a constant-currency basis in 2025 and underlying income before income taxes to decline 12–15%, compared to earlier projections of a low single-digit decrease.
Molson Coors also forecasts its underlying diluted earnings per share to drop 7–10% in 2025.
