Serengeti Breweries launches Tanzania’s first locally crafted RTD Serengeti premium apple

Serengeti Breweries unveils Tanzania’s first locally crafted RTD beverage, targeting modern consumers while promoting local production and national pride.

TANZANIA – Serengeti Breweries Limited (SBL) has launched what it describes as Tanzania’s first locally crafted ready-to-drink (RTD) beverage, as the company responds to evolving consumer preferences and strengthens domestic manufacturing.

The new product, Serengeti Premium Apple, was officially unveiled at a high-profile event designed to position the brand as both a lifestyle statement and a symbol of national pride.

SBL Managing Director Obinna Anyalebechi said the launch represents a key milestone for both the company and Tanzania’s beverage sector, highlighting a shift toward more refined, locally produced offerings.

“At SBL, we design products based on what our consumers want. Feedback consistently pointed to the need for a proudly Tanzanian brand that reflects sophistication and elegance,” he said.

He added that the beverage aims to address a gap in the market by delivering a crisp and refreshing option suited to modern lifestyles.

“By producing locally, we are strengthening Tanzania’s manufacturing sector, supporting local supply chains and creating jobs, while demonstrating that our products can compete globally,” he said.

The launch event, held at Serengeti National Park, also served as a strategic platform to highlight Tanzania’s tourism potential, aligning the product with the country’s natural heritage.

SBL’s Innovation and Marketing Director Henry Esiaba said the event brought together influencers and cultural figures to strengthen the brand’s identity.

“We wanted to create an immersive experience that connects the product with its origin. This is about celebrating what Tanzania can create and sharing that story with a wider audience,” he said.
