Sucafina acquires Germany’s Rehm & Co.

The acquisition strengthens Sucafina’s specialty coffee capabilities while preserving Rehm & Co.’s brand, team and operations in Germany.

GERMANY – Sucafina, a leading sustainable Farm to Roaster coffee company, has acquired German specialty coffee trader Rehm & Co., strengthening its presence in Europe’s specialty coffee market while expanding its sourcing and customer service capabilities across the region.

The transaction, described by both companies as a partnership, combines Sucafina’s global sourcing network with Rehm & Co.’s established reputation in specialty coffee. Based in Hamburg, Rehm & Co. has built its business on rigorous quality standards, long-term producer relationships and deep roots in Germany’s coffee trading sector.

The company sources green coffee from leading coffee-producing origins and supplies specialty roasters throughout Europe.

Under the agreement, Rehm & Co. will continue operating under its existing name from Hamburg, with its team remaining in place to ensure continuity in sourcing, customer service and quality.

The acquisition also complements Sucafina Germany, which was launched in January 2026 to serve the commercial green coffee market.

While Sucafina Germany focuses on commercial coffee, Rehm & Co. adds specialist sourcing expertise, services and long-standing customer relationships in the specialty segment.

Sucafina representatives, including Managing Director of Sucafina NV Tom Swinkels and Managing Directors of Sucafina Germany Bastian Fülles and Tobias Schwind, said the acquisition supports the company’s ambition to become the world’s leading sustainable Farm to Roaster coffee business.

“We are excited to partner with Rehm and build on their strong reputation in the specialty coffee market to unlock new opportunities for customers and producers,” they said.

“By combining Rehm’s local expertise and longstanding customer relationships with Sucafina’s global sourcing network, we see a clear opportunity to further strengthen our service offering to clients across Europe.”

Rehm & Co. said joining the Sucafina Group will allow it to expand opportunities for customers while maintaining the values that have defined the business.

Joining the Sucafina Group brings together the specialty expertise and personal service our customers know with the strength of a global network,” said Claudia Fries, Communications Manager at Rehm & Co.

“Together, we can create even more opportunities for roasters while staying true to what defines us.”

The partnership combines Rehm & Co.’s established position in the German and European specialty coffee market with Sucafina’s global origin network, sustainability programmes and supply chain infrastructure.

According to the companies, the combined business is expected to create greater value for coffee producers and specialty roasters while strengthening Sucafina’s presence in Europe following the opening of its first German trading office in Bremen earlier this year.
