Suntory PepsiCo opens US$300M beverage plant in Vietnam

Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam’s new US$300 million facility will produce 1.244 billion litres annually while creating 3,000 jobs and strengthening the country’s beverage manufacturing sector.

VIETNAM – Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage (SPVB) has officially inaugurated a new US$300 million beverage manufacturing facility in Tay Ninh province, marking the company’s largest-ever investment in Vietnam and reinforcing its long-term commitment to one of Asia’s fastest-growing beverage markets.

Located on a 20-hectare site within Huu Thanh Industrial Park, the new factory is SPVB’s sixth production facility in Vietnam and represents the company’s biggest single investment since entering the Vietnamese market more than 30 years ago.

According to the company, the investment reflects its confidence in Vietnam’s long-term growth prospects while expanding production capacity, driving innovation, and supporting the sustainable development of the country’s beverage industry.

The facility has a designed production capacity of approximately 1.244 billion litres annually, significantly strengthening Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam’s manufacturing capabilities to meet growing domestic demand while supporting future business expansion.

In addition to increasing production, the project is expected to create around 3,000 jobs across the local supply chain, contributing to employment and economic development in the region.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Le Van Han described the project as a major milestone for the province’s industrial development.

“The project marks an important milestone in Tay Ninh’s industrial development and reflects the confidence of leading global corporations in Vietnam’s investment climate,” Han said.

He added that the facility would “strengthen the processing and manufacturing sector, promote technology transfer, support the development of logistics and supporting industries, create jobs and contribute to local budget revenues.”

Han also said Tay Ninh would continue improving its investment environment through administrative reforms and infrastructure development to support long-term business expansion.

Josuke Kimura, President and CEO of Suntory Beverage & Food, described the new plant as a significant milestone in the company’s long-term strategy in Vietnam.

“Vietnam remains one of Suntory’s fastest-growing markets in Asia, and this investment will enable us to respond more quickly to consumer demand while enhancing innovation and supporting future regional expansion,” Kimura said.

Although the facility is currently focused on supplying the domestic market, it has been designed with flexible production capabilities that could support exports to other markets should future demand arise.

Suntory PepsiCo Vietnam Beverage is a strategic alliance between Japan’s Suntory and PepsiCo of the United States. The new investment further strengthens the company’s manufacturing footprint in Vietnam while supporting its long-term growth strategy across the region.
