CHINA – Xinjiang has launched its first cold-chain express train service, transporting over 200 metric tons of fresh plums from Aksu to Jiaxing in Zhejiang Province, as the region integrates remote agricultural hubs with national distribution networks and expands nationwide distribution of regional fruits such as apples and plums.
This specialized logistics service utilizes refrigerated containers equipped with high-tech sensors that allow operators to track environmental conditions and location in real time.
In addition, the service provides 24-hour real-time monitoring of temperature, humidity, and location, accessible via a mobile mini-program, ensuring optimal freshness throughout the journey.
The loading process has been optimized to under four hours, boosting efficiency by over 20% and enabling same-day dispatch. By streamlining the loading process, the railway has significantly increased operational efficiency, allowing fresh fruits to be dispatched on the same day they are processed.
